In this drawing tutorial, we will draw a blue shark with a pencil step-by-step.
The blue shark is one of the most easily recognized sharks. It has a distinct coloration, a deep indigo blue from above and a vibrant blue on its sides, changing to white underneath. The large pectoral fins are also easy to spot as they are as long as the distance between the tip of the snout to the last gill slit. Blue sharks are recognizable for their exceptionally slender body and bright blue coloration.
Step 1. Outline the body of the blue shark with a few basic shapes.
Start drawing the blue shark with a few basic geometric shapes: an oval for the body and a triangle for the head of the blue shark.
Step 2. Draw the pectoral fins of the blue shark, and outline its tail and mouth.
Outline the shapes of the fins of the blue shark and the dorsal fin. Also, outline the mouth of the shark.
Step 3. Outline the tail of the blue shark.
Continue the shape that we built by extending the tail and marking its end. Start adding details like teeth, the eye, and gill slits.
Step 4. Draw the tail and the fins of the blue shark.
Draw the rest of the blue shark's tail and its caudal fin. Also, complete drawing the rest of its fins.
Step 5. Hatching and shading the drawing of the blue shark.
Complete the drawing of the blue shark by removing the unnecessary lines. It is also important to shade the shark by hatching the darker spots and its mouth.
