In this lesson, we will learn how to draw a heron with a pencil step by step. The heron is a large bird that belongs to the order of storks. They feed on various types of frogs, fish, and other aquatic animals, so their habitat is in aquatic wetlands. In herons, the neck is curved in S-shape, even when flying. This is unlike other birds from the order, for example, cranes, and storks, which have an elongated necks.
Below is the difference between the 3 birds for your information. In this lesson, we will be drawing a heron.
Step 1. Draw heron's beak and head.
In step one, start with the beak, then draw the top of the heron's head, which is not very protruding and smooth, then draw the bottom of the head and the eyes.
Step 2. Draw the heron's neck and body.
In step two, draw the heron's curved neck and a body of a heron.
Step 3. Draw heron's wings, legs, and tail.
Next, draw a heron's tail, legs, and two wings. For the behind wing, only the top of the wing is visible to us.
Step 4. Shade the heron's body.
Since this is a white stork, we can hardly see the feathers, so shade the neck and body slightly. The drawing of the heron is ready.
