Today, we are opening a new category of ocean animals. We will open up this category with a step-by-step drawing tutorial where we will learn to draw a killer whale, also called an orca.
The orca or killer whale (Orcinus orca) is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member. Orcas have a diverse diet, although individual populations often specialize in particular types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as seals and other dolphin species. They have been known to attack baleen whale calves and even adult whales.
Step 1. Outline the shapes of the killer whale's body and tail.
Draw two oval shapes denoting the orca's body and tail.
Step 2. Add an oval outlining the head of the killer whale. Outline its tail and fins.
Draw an oval for the orca's head and its fins. Connect the two body and tail ovals.
Step 3. Add details to the orca's drawing: mouth and tail fins.
Using the original auxiliary lines, draw the additional details: the tail fins and the mouth. We also add an auxiliary line on the body of the killer whale to separate its top and side.
Step 5. Add the lines to separate the white and black parts of the orca's body.
Also, start shading the killer whale's body.
Step 6. Continue hatching the body of the killer whale.
Continue hatching black parts of the killer whale body to get that monochrome picture of an orca.
