In this drawing lesson, we will learn how to draw a pelican with a pencil. Pelicans mainly feed on fish, but in some countries, depending on their habitat, pelicans, for example, in Africa, can eat eggs and even chicks of cormorants. Birds fly well but walk poorly. The neck is S-shaped due to the long and heavy beak.
Step 1. Draw the pelican's head.
Draw a circle - the basis of the head and eyes, then draw the pelican's beak.
Step 2. Outline the body of the pelican.
Outline the body and the neck of the pelican. Draw the head and the feathers at the back of the head.
Step 3. Draw the pelican's body: wings, tail, and legs.
Draw the shape of the wing, feathers, feet, and legs.
Step 4. Draw the feathers on the body and wing of the pelican.
We finish the visible part of the second wing and show the plumage with curves while erasing the contour lines.
Step 5. Draw more feathers on the wings.
Continue to draw more feathers on the wings.
Step 6. Shading and hatching the drawing of the pelican.
You can apply a little shadow to give volume. Also, draw a shadow under the far paw because it is on a hillock. That's all, the pelican drawing is ready.
