Like strawberries, prickly pineapple has a special pattern on the surface. The pineapple pictured below was drawn on smooth Bristol board. The main drawing and light areas of hatching were made with a HB pencil, and darker areas were shaded with a 2B pencil.
Step 1. Sketch out the basic shape of the pineapple.
Draw the basic shape of the pineapple. Pineapples have an almost rectangular shape with rounded sides. Given this is a plant, the shape is never perfect. In our case, the upper line is beveled.
Step 2. Draw the outline of the leaves and spikes of the pineapple.
Take a sharp 2B pencil to draw thin lines of texture at different angles on each pineapple flake.
Step 3. Draw the pineapple's skin.
The pineapple skin somewhat resembles snakeskin with its overlaying scales.
Step 4. How to draw a piece of pineapple.
In our pineapple drawing, we decided to add a cut-out piece of pineapple to ensemble our pineapple
Step 5. Detail out and shade the pineapple scales and leaves.
Take a sharp 2B pencil to draw thin lines of texture at different angles on each pineapple flake. Start hatching from the edge, make strokes towards the middle and lift the pencil at the end of the stroke. Finally, shade the drop shadow, making it smoother and darker than the surface of the fruit, and add some juice drops to make it more attractive.
