In this step-by-step drawing lesson, we will look at how to draw a sad kitten or a cat with a pencil. You will learn how to draw the eyes of a cat (cat), the nose of a cat, and the muzzle correctly and in great detail with a pencil.
Step 1. Draw the outline of the kitten's muzzle.
In order for us to draw a kitten, we must first draw the auxiliary elements that will help with the scaling and proportions of the head. To do this, draw a circle and guide curves for the direction of the head and the level of the eyes.
Step 2. Outline the eyes, nose, and mouth of the kitten.
Mark the dimensions of the eyes with dashes. The closer one will be larger than the one that is further away. Mark the size of the nose and the level of the mouth. Then, draw the shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth, as shown below.
Step 3. Draw the kitten's ears and neck.
In this step, draw the kitten's ears and neck.
Step 4. Mark the head of the cat with small lines.
Using small lines, outline the head of a small cat while erasing the original auxiliary lines.
Step 5. Draw the kitten's eyes.
Draw pupils. Paint over the dark areas of the eyes, then draw highlights. After that, shade your eyes.
Step 6. Start drawing the kitten's fur. Detail kitten's muzzle.
Shade the nose a little and show the hairs of the mouth with separate small curves. Add more hair. This is done using separate lines in the direction of hair growth. Also, show where the whiskers grow from.
Step 7. Finishing the drawing of a "sad" kitten.
Draw the whiskers. Shade the dark areas in the ears and in the neck area. You can shade them with a ball of cotton wool or a special stick. Then, we impose darker lines on top, imitating fur in the direction of its growth.
