The scarab bug is a very beautiful black beetle. Females are slightly smaller, and males are large; they like to sort things out and arrange tournaments for the territory.
Step 1. Outline the parts of the scarab bug's body.
First, let's draw an axis with two circles, which will indicate the upper and lower parts of the insect's body.
Step 2. Outline scarab's head and legs.
Add the circumference of the head and designate its legs.
Step 3. Draw the scarab's armor and draw its head in more detail.
Let's draw the chitinous armor of the upper and lower parts of the body, connecting it with a flexible belt in the middle. The lower part of the chitinous armor is the elytra, they consist of two parts. There are supposedly folded wings under them. Draw out the head of the scarab in more detail, adding eyes and antennae.
Step 4. Draw scarab's legs in more detail.

Step 5. Draw the pattern on scarab's elytra.
On the smooth black surface of the wings, there is an amazing pattern of dots. Draw out this pattern of scarab's elytra (the rear part of its body). Start shading the head and the pronotum (the front part of the body).
Step 6. Hatching the body of a scarab bug. Adding shades.
Finish off the drawing of the scarab by hatching the body taking into consideration that its armor is dark but reflects the light. Lastly, add shades beneath the scarab to show volume.
