In today's drawing tutorial, we will learn to draw a bird. Specifically, we will look at how to draw a swift with a pencil in stages.
Step 1. Outline the swift bird's head.
First of all draw the beak and the upper part of the head (it is at an angle and looks like the shape of a hat), a large eye with a highlight and part of the neck.
Step 2. Outline the body of the swift bird.
Draw the body of the swift.
Step 3. Draw the tail and wing of the swift bird.
Next, draw the bird's tail, it looks like a swallow, and the folded wing is quite long.
Step 4. Draw the second wing and paw for our bird.
Then we draw the second wing and paw.
Step 5. Start drawing the swift bird feathers.
Draw feathers on the bird as shown in the drawing below.
Step 6. Apply hatching to the body of the swift bird.
Apply dark and light areas of plumage at the swift, using for darker tones - pencils of greater softness (4B, 6B, 9B), for light ones - harder ones from H to 2B. Also use the eraser for highlights and color adjustments. You can also draw a tree branch or a rock that the swift bird sits on to complete the drawing.
