Like the maple leaf, the oak leaf is also often used as a symbol; it is an important attribute of many coats of arms. Its form is not ordinary but very unique. In today's drawing tutorial, we will draw an oak leaf with acorns.
Step 1. Draw the main axis of the oak leaf and mark the position of the acorns.
Let's draw the main axis, which will be the middle of the sheet, add an axis for a side twig and mark the position of the future acorns.
Step 2. Outline the shapes of the oak leaf and acorns.
The basis for the leaf is an ellipse of irregular shape. Let's mark on it the contour elements of the future image and draw a part of the branch to which the leaf is attached.
Step 3. Draw the acorns in more detail.
Denote by the contour of the kernel and caps of acorns. Acorn caps have a geometric pattern of bulges.
Step 4. Hatching the oak leaf and acorns.
In the final stage of our drawing tutorial, add shadows on the leaf, acorns, and twigs. A somewhat chaotic pattern of veins is visible on the sheet. Keep this pattern in mind when hatching the oak leaf and the acorns.
