In this lesson, we will learn how to draw a megalodon shark with a pencil in stages, an extinct predator, the largest predatory fish in history. See the comparison image below for a comparison of the megalodon and the shark of this time, as well as the diver.
We will draw this action, a megalodon hunting for large fish.
Step 1. Outline the shape of the megalodon.
Draw just such a shape - this is a muzzle with an open mouth, the line shows the middle, then draw the middle of the predator's body.
Step 2. Outline the body of megalodon.
Draw the body of the megalodon. This drawing is in perspective, it has such a shape, i.e. body length decreases, a sharp drop in body thickness. We outline the mouth of a giant shark.
Step 3. Draw megalodon's fins and muzzle.
We draw further, we draw fins. Then draw the megalodon's muzzle in more detail.
Step 4. Draw the outline of the megalodon with harder pencil.
Now that we are OK with our megalodon's outline, we need to harden the contours, then draw teeth, an eye, a nostril.
Step 5. Draw the outlines for the hunted fish.
Next, draw the outlines of the two fish.
Step 6. Draw the hunted fish in more detail. Add details to megalodon.
We draw their mouth, eyes, fins and tail. Also, we start to hatch the megalodon drawing: dark inside its mouth, darker bottom.
Step 7. Continue to hatch the body of megalodon.
We paint over the oral cavity in black, for this it is better to take a very soft pencil, for example 8B. We leave a small area where the air is white, then draw curls there, simulating the outgoing air. We draw gills.
Step 8. Shade the hunted fish.
We apply shadows on the floating fish and air bubbles.
Step 9. Finalizing the drawing of megalodon.
Here is a finished drawing of a megalodon chasing prey.
