Hybrid tea roses have huge flowers of various colors. As you draw the rose petals, make sure that each of them is in exactly the right place in the overall shape of the flower - this helps to position them correctly. Start drawing with light strokes of the TM pencil.
Step 1. Drawing rose contour.
Start by drawing the contour of the rose with its bud, sticking petals on the sides, and the green leaves (called sepals) on the bottom of the bud.
Step 2. Draw contours of inner rose petals
In this step, start drawing lines for the inner rose petals.
Step 3. Continue adding inner rose petals.
As you draw the rose petals, make sure that each of them is in exactly the right place in the overall shape of the flower - this helps to position them correctly.
Step 4. Draw details of the rose petals.
Draw curved contours of the rose petals. When you are happy with the petals' shapes carefully erase the previous rough contour lines.
Step 5. Add shading to the rose drawing.
Add shading to your rose drawing. The shades are darker the deeper you go into the rosebud. Also, add shade below the curved petals to give volume to your drawing. With the small circular movements of the feather pencil, you can achieve the feeling of a glossy petal in small areas of the drawing.
